κλίβανος, ου, ὁ (Doric form Etym. Mag. 538, 19 [Hdt. 2, 92, also PPetr III, 140a, 3; BGU 1117, 10; 28; LXX; Philo, Rer. Div. Her. 311] for the Att. κρίβανος [Schwyzer I 39]; cp. Phryn. 179 Lob.; Crönert 77, 4) an oven (made of pottery) εἰς κ. βάλλειν put into the furnace Mt 6:30; Lk 12:28. The Day of Judgment ὡς κ. καιόμενος like a burning oven (cp.
